Enrichment Class - Now that all children will be learning remotely, academic support is of the essense. These classes are designed for children entering grades K-5 to provide them with the much needed help with school assignments and homework. We will offer in-person and online classes with experienced teachers and will include 3-4 students in the same grade. We will also continue to have our one-on-one sessions both online and in-person.
We are still working on the details of cost, times and dates. When contacting us please indicate your preference for in-person or online and child's grade
Handwriting Class (for children ages 4-13) - This class offers a creative, multisensory approach to help children master the skills of handwriting such as grip, hand-eye coordination, posture and motor planning. Taught by a board-certified occupational therapist assistant. This is an in-person class.
$225 Fall dates to be determined.
Friendship Class - Now, more than ever, children need help with social skills. Children will learn to understand and read social cues via facial expressions and body language, practice taking turns and have better communication skills, use social filter and learn conflict resolution skills. This class is run by a board certified social worker. Designed for children in grades 2-5. This is an in-person class.
$250 August 17-21; 10 AM -12 PM; pizza party on Friday
SAT/ACT test prep class - The ELA portion of this class will be online with a certified language arts teacher. The math portion can be in-person with the math teacher. Students will have an opportunity to take a pretest, ask questions and get test taking strategies skills. August 11, 12, 13; ELA online 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Math in-person 2:30 - 3:30 PM
Noodles Fundraiser - Thank you for helping us raise funds and supporting Noodles, a local business.
All tutors will be wearing masks and we will have additional masks for students, if they choose to wear one. We realize that for some children it will be difficult for them to wear a mask which is why we are not manadating them to do so.
Tutors and students will sit opposite each other at a table.
All students must either wash their hands or sanitize them upon arrival.
All surfaces will be sanitized after each student.
Hand sanitizer will be available in every room.
If possible, please do not bring siblings or wait in our waiting room. We ask that you wait in your vehicles.
When possible, only students should enter the building/Center.
For now, please try to have your child bring their own writing utensil
Please keep your child home if he/she is not feeling well.
Please remind your child to cough into their elbow.
We will have additional office space across the hall in order to spread out.
