lIn the past thirty years, legislative mandates have raised requirements for graduation and, recently, even third grade promotion. Unfortunately, statistics continue to show students still lack proficiency in math and reading. According to a recent US News report “only 37% of students are prepared for college-level math and reading.” In addition, the SQU Medical Journal indicates that 80% of children with learning disabilities have dyslexia which creates reading challenges that impact all areas of learning. The most vulnerable students are students with learning challenges and those that come from underprivileged homes: Their families lack the means to provide the educational support their children need. Furthermore, families with special needs children spend excess dollars that are not covered by insurance in order to help their children meet basic benchmarks.

Student fees provide the bulk of our revenue, but we depend on contributions and fundraising events as well. We ask for your support in order to maintain fees at an affordable level and make scholarship assistance availabe to students whose families are unable to pay for services.

Amazonsmiles.com donates a portion of certain purchases. Simply select us as your charity and shop as usual.
Register your Kroger card online and select Meadowbrook Center for Learning Differences as your charitable organization. Donate your car to Charity Motors and name the Center as the charity of your choice. Tribute Gifts: Memorial & honor donation gifts are a perfect way to show your love and respect on occasions such as deaths, birthdays, anniversaries or retirement. Your donation can also be in the form of stocks. |
Bordine's, Hollywood Market and Papa Joe's are a few local merchants that also donate to our cause. You can purchase their gift cards by simply calling our office at 248-656-3806 or email.
Use the Scrip button to download an order form and purchase gift cards from our Scrip program. Various companies such as Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Dick's Sporting Goods, and many more, will donate to the Center for every card you order while you get the full value of the card. Select the business and number of gift cards and email us the information then mail us a check or pay with Paypal (this will take you to a secure site). |
